I am a visual artist first and foremost, and I know how to compose music with chiptunes. I consider myself artistically inclined, but I know I have my limits and that I'm always learning how to improve.
There are times I try different things, such as starting a leaflet, like the ones you have been reading (I hope!), and setting up custom sites for myself. But those are few and far between.
My friend has been telling me to write a book. "A Tupi Hobbit", in their words. I feel flattered, but also I don't think I have the skills to pull that off. It is true that I have been translating a book about Tupi from Brazilian Portuguese to English (I'm almost finishing it, by the way), and that it has a lot of interesting things in it. But even after having recently experienced the works of Tolkien for the first time, I really can't even think of comparing myself to the greats.
It is true that any work starts with a step, but I don't feel super inclined to do it right now. Perhaps when I earn more experience in the field of creative writing, or something like that. Then I will probably feel more comfortable to do something that is worthwhile and constructive.
Perhaps I am being too humble, since a lot of terrible people are out there, using AI to vomit out "books" and thinking highly of themselves. But I dislike them. I like to see things being built, step by step, pixel by pixel, line by line. I like to be careful and committed to the work, and should I ever accept it, I must study diligently to write something of value. Who knows...
