I don't have any data to corroborate anything I will say, but it's something that has been appearing in my mind intermittently.
It is important to be kind. It is important to remain whimsical, even if the times are difficult and nothing seems to matter.
I don't know how to put it in words, but sometimes it feels like being angry, sad, pessimistic and brooding is seen as being realist and intellectual. Things only appear to be valuable if it deals with deep and serious subjects.
Is this just me, or is there some kind of concerted effort to consider kindness, happiness and gentleness as weak, shallow and unworthy to seek after? If so, I vehemently disagree with this notion, and I reassure you that I'll always be kind, and encourage others to be as well.
It's completely normal and human to be sad, frustrated and unhappy. But when these feelings becomes the norm, it might lead to apathy and the noxious belief that no one cares about you but yourself.
I'm just a single person in this huge world, but I know the power of my influence over my friends and followers. Small acts of kindness go a long way, and I hope this resonates with you, reader.
