This is my 34th post on this writing platform, to prove that even a non-writer such as me can persevere and flourish when I set my focus straight.

Now, I actually do not have any real ideas before typing the words. I just look at the blank page, type some things, and hope they activate some part in my brain that engages cruise control.

Truth be told, I am not the one to make strong, fail-proof plans. I definitely am an adept of the "Seat of one's pants" philosophy and I really like doing things on a whim. Of course, I respect others' plans, if they want to go to the cinema or throw a party for example, but when I'm by myself with no one else to account for, I will do different things to have new experiences.

And when this happens, I try engaging with it as earnestly as possible. I am a limited person with limited knowledge, but it is by learning new things that I can grow and improve, not just creatively, but as an individual.

You might have noticed that I really care about art and creativity, and I'd consider my friends and community to be art-oriented by default. However, if you're one of the non-artistically inclined friends of mine, then I extend this suggestion to you: how about going out and having new experiences?

If your budget allows it, go eat at that restaurant you've seen the other day. Take a stroll around your neighborhood or commercial district, visit the library or look at the stars when the sky is clear. Visit the park, observe the birds and trees and signage, do some window-shopping and go out on a trip. I don't think that you know your own city as well as you think you do, so if it is safe, doable and within the realms of your reality, consider doing these activities.

Of course, this is just a suggestion, not an order. And I am aware that some of you might not be in a situation that allows you to do that. But if you can, and haven't done that in a long time, perhaps it's time to relive the joys of exploring.
